Story Title: Bastard
Summary: Kaori has always been in love with Chan-wook. Yet, when he leaves Japan in the late 1970s, he doesn't seem to notice.
Author's Note: Takes place in roughly 1979. Chan-wook has been living in Japan for a while, but he leaves to go back to South Korea. Always being up for a good time and an adventure, he travels in hope of finding something. The only thing is, he doesn't seem to understand that Kaori is in love with him and wants him to stay. I chose 'anguish', because of Kaori's feelings and 'wait for me', because Kaori wants Chan-wook to say that to her, when he only ever says it to everyone else.
Chan-wook ran off to South Korea in order to find a famous gambler called Kang. He told Kaori that he wanted to learn from the “Master”. Kaori knew the real reason: he was bored. Chan-wook was always looking for something; he still hadn’t found it.
So, it was off to a new adventure. She, Shunji, and Takara were not what Chan-wook was looking for. He didn’t even tell her he’d be back; he didn’t ask her to wait.
Instead, he told Shunji that he’d see him around; he kissed Takara’s forehead. His farewell to her was a simple ‘Bye.’
Bastard.
