Story Title: Knife Trio
Summary: Eddie takes care of something for Aoi and Ling’er
Author's Note: Ling’er is thirteen here, Aoi is twenty, and Eddie is thirty-one.
He felt the knife’s pressure against the skin of the man lying below him. “You tried to touch my girlfriend; you touched my little sister.” He pushed the knife harder against the man’s neck.
Bright blood trickled down the man’s neck; down his shirt; to the right side. The man’s muffled cries were ignored. He moved the knife slowly across the skin of the neck – pressing down harder as he went.
“Aoi,” He helped Aoi put her hands on the knife. Aoi’s emotionless eyes stared into His for the briefest of seconds before one final broad cut. The man let out a gagging scream, and then he was quiet.
Stumbling backward, Aoi quickly let go of the knife and covered her eyes with her now bloody hands. He glanced up from his own hand and to the far corner of the room.
“Ling’er, he’s gone now.” He spoke as gently as he could. “Your Gēge Eddie made him go away.”
Slowly, Ling’er moved toward the man’s body. “W-where did he go, Gēge?”
Eddie looked from Ling’er to Aoi and back again. “Somewhere we’ll never go.”
He reached back and pulled Aoi toward him. Making sure she didn’t look at the body, he moved them to Ling’er. Carefully, Eddie took Ling’er hand in his right hand and Aoi’s hand in his left. Together, the trio walked out of the abandoned building and into the night.
