Story: AU WE ARE
Summary: Eddie pretends the men he kills are other people
They sat together on her narrow little bed. Her head rested on his shoulder; their hands clasped together. Again he had paid for a night with her; again they were doing nothing.
“How do you do it?” She asked her voice sleepy.
“Do what?” He gently squeezed her hands.
She smiled softly. “How can you be an enforcer for the yakuza?”
“You never look them in the eye. Looking them in the eye makes them wary of you.”
“I meant how do you kill?”
“I close my eyes and pretend the men are your clients,” He paused. “or my father.”
She smiled. “Good.”
