Story Title: Milkshake Angel
Summary: Mason buys Taka a milkshake.





Mason takes Taka to a café and buys her a milkshake. She sucks on her straw, staring straight ahead, her eyes wide. Mason wonders what Taka thinks about; he wonders if she even thinks at all.



There are moments when Mason muses on the way Taka lives. Is she happy; will she be happy?



Mason thinks about how she’ll treat her future children. Oddly enough, Taka’s rather good with kids. Maybe because she treats everyone in a similar way; or, maybe because she’s secretly a Fairy come from Heaven.



Mason’s always held onto that theory – his sister is secretly an angel. She’s too much a mystery to be anything else.



Taka finishes her milkshake with a loud slurp. Causally she takes six hundred yen* from her pocket and places it in the tip jar on the counter. Mason glances at her; she shrugs;



“You bought. I tipped.”



Mason simply smiles and pats Taka on the head. She’s really is an angel.
