Story Title: Shopping Trip
Summary: Kaori takes Taka shopping
Kaori believed that she would go insane. At first she tried to ignore it, but after a while it just became too much. Taka had been wearing fall ’08 fashions for nearly a year. If Taka was going to hang around her club and be friendly with her girls, Kaori had to change the girl’s clothing.
Kaori took Taka to her favorite department store, Mitsukoshi. Kaori took Taka straight to the women’s department. She picked out several bags, though Taka said that she didn’t carry bags. Kaori then picked out several long-sleeve dresses, pants, and long-sleeve shirts. Taka didn’t protest about the clothes as she knew it was useless. After handbags and clothing, Kaori bought shoes and new underclothes for Taka.
Taka was sure that Kaori would have gone on buying things, if it hadn’t been for a phone call from the club. Ryo, one of Kaori’s male security guards, called to tell Kaori that some kind of alcoholic beverage delivery was late.
“We have to stop here, Taka.” Kaori smiled kindly. “However, I think you’ll be alright with these outfits.”
Stiffly, Taka nodded.
“I’ll have the car brought around. We’ll drop you off at your home first.” Kaori briefly paused, looking over the twenty shopping bags that she and Taka awkwardly carried between them. .”I do wish we had time to visit the jewelry counter. I wanted to buy you some watches and necklaces.”
Taka nodded stiffly again.
“Do you. . .” Kaori wasn’t quite sure how to phrase her question. “Did you have a nice time?”
There was a long moment of silence, before Taka nodded, “Yes. I had a nice time. Thank you.”
Half-smiling and half-scoffing, Kaori shook her head. “You are a very odd little girl.”
“Yes, I have been told that.”
